No need for population control, says Owaisi on RSS chief’s comments

There is no need for population control as the country has already reached a replacement rate, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi said on Wednesday, reacting to RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat’s comment on population policy.

In a tweet, Owaisi said: “If Hindus and Muslims have the ‘same DNA’ then where is the imbalance?” There is no need for population control because we have already reached the replacement rate. support the elderly. Muslims have the largest decline in fertility rate.

Speaking at the Dussehra gathering of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Nagpur today, Bhagwat said India should have a population policy prepared after careful thought and it should be applicable to all communities equally.

The RSS leader said the community-based population imbalance is an important topic and should not be ignored.

Owaisi added: “For Mohan, it’s the annual dog whistle and hate speech day. Alarmism around “demographic imbalance” has led to genocides, ethnic cleansings and hate crimes around the world. Kosovo was created after a genocide of Albanian Muslims by Serbian nationalists.
