Ambassador Ahsan, also Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to FAO, IFAD and WFP, assumed the Chair by acclamation of all Member States.

Along with the chairmanship, Bangladesh will lead the board supporting WFP’s efforts to provide life-saving assistance in humanitarian crises, particularly in conflict-affected countries and amid the ongoing ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. longer than expected.
