Professor Meerjady Sabrina Flora, chair of the DGHS Covid-19 Vaccine Management Task Force Committee, told The Business Standard (TBS) that people under the age of 12 will be vaccinated when the WHO issues guidance. guidelines in this regard. If children under 12 are bitten, 80% of the population will be vaccinated.

Although the WHO target has been achieved, vaccination activities will continue. However, the provision of the second dose will be highlighted in March and the booster dose in April, she added.

She added that the DGHS had nine million vaccines in stock and there was no vaccine crisis in the country.

Bangladesh receives 10 million more doses of Pfizer from the United States

Bangladesh has received an additional 10 million doses of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine from the United States through the Covax Global Immunization Program, according to a press release from the United States Embassy on Monday.

This latest shipment made Bangladesh the largest U.S. recipient of vaccine donations among any country. So far, more than 6.1 million doses have been delivered.
